Anxiety In Dogs

Just like humans, dogs experience anxiety. While unpleasant, it is a normal and also healthy emotion. Dog anxiety can affect all breeds, but may affect each dog differently. Although it is something that all dogs experience from time to time if disproportionate levels of anxiety are left unchecked, a dog can develop an anxiety disorder. If left untreated, dog anxiety can lead to behavioral and other issues.

Dogs can show anxiety in several ways, including:
  • Behavior: Panting, pacing, trembling, drooling, hiding, withdrawing from their owner, or appearing irritable or aggressive
  • Body language: Tail tucked or low, ears back, dilated eyes, or showing a lot of white around their eyes (whale eye)
  • Other signs: Yawning, licking their lips, or red around the eyes

Benefits of Herbs

Using herbs to treat canine anxiety is the better option for several reasons. First it is 100% natural with little to no side effects. Second, since it is a natural ingredient the body knows what to do with it, meaning a higher absorption rate compared to synthetic ingredients.
